The key to high performance of lithium battery cathode material - 99 porcelain alumina crucible

The 99% alumina crucibles, also known as corundum crucibles, (when the alumina content exceeds 95%, it is usually called corundum crucible) is the current research hotspot of lithium battery cathode materials, and it is also the key to the high performance of lithium battery cathode materials. In order to distinguish between corundum crucibles and high purity alumina crucibles, under normal circumstances, we refer to alumina crucibles with an alumina content of more than 95% as corundum crucibles. It has the characteristics of strong melting resistance, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, cold and extreme heat resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. It is suitable for smelting samples of weak alkaline substances such as Na2CO3 without water, but not suitable for smelting strong alkaline and acidic materials.

  



The working principle of 99% alumina crucible (corundum crucible)

 
1. The 99.7% corundum crucible has good high temperature insulation and mechanical strength in a redox atmosphere. It has a large thermal conductivity and a small thermal expansion rate. When the corundum crucible is above 1700°C, it will not react with air, water vapor, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, etc. The 99% alumina crucible (corundum crucible) has a short-term maximum working temperature of 1800°C.
 
2. And 99.35% corundum 1750℃, 1600℃-1650℃. The corundum crucible is in an oxidizing and reducing atmosphere.
 
3. 85% alumina crucible 1350℃ 1290℃, also known as high-aluminum crucible, has good high-temperature insulation and mechanical strength in oxidizing and reducing atmosphere. Its thermal conductivity is large, and its thermal expansion rate is small. And it does not react with air, water vapor, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, etc., and can be used for a long time under the condition of little temperature change in the temperature field. The 85% alumina crucible has a short-term maximum working temperature of 1400°C.
